#604: Why do we avoid salespeople?

Like… even when we do want to buy something…
Have you ever walked into a shop
and someone goes “can I help you?”
and you go “nah, just looking.” even if you DID want to look for something. 😂 Right ?

It’s not even personal.
It’s just automatic.

Why?
Because you want to stay in control.
You don’t want to be pushed.
You don’t want pressure.
You know what?

That’s exactly what happen with your prospect
when you approach them.
One of my students was doing a roadshow.
Nobody wanted to talk to him.
People were avoiding eye contact. Walking away.

So he told him:
“Say this: I’m not gonna sell you… unless you want to buy.”
That’s it! The next thing you know…
People stopped and listened.
People relaxed and talked.
And they agreed to give him their numbers.

It wasn’t magic. It was because they feel safe*.*
When they feel safe, they don’t run away.

So now the question is:
How do you make people feel safe when you sell? Lets help you break the defense wall.
